Upgrades-
Ferrari's lack
a sound sound
system that can, in strict audio terms, be referred as a quality
system. Granted the engine sounds are intoxicating, however, it makes
sense
to have a high quality sound system to complement driving enjoyment.
In furtherance of that concept, we have applied our
extensive audio experience to an advanced Ferrari audio
system design, and
we
have put together a
very fine replacement sound system that will seemlessly integrate into
the OEM locations while providing exceptional sound quality.
Our high end sound system offers the detail and
smoothness one would expect from a high end home audio system. The
drivers and the equipment associated with the system are what one would
expect Ferrari to have included with the car but has failed to do
so.
Our system seemlessly interfaces with the existing OEM Becker radio/CD
changer leaving the user the option to make that change if
preferred.
System installation is quite straightforward and very simplified. Our
replacement drivers when installed are not recognizable as other than
OEM!
For the 360 and 430 models we provide a replacement plastic door
tweeter piece. This replacement piece will have the tweeter and its
crossover network mounted within it, and the tweeter is properly
directed towards the listeners for optimum upper mid-range and high
frequency sensation.
In addition the tweeter housing has a wire lead with a snap-on
connector to connect to the OEM door plug. No
changes are required in any way.
The drivers and components of our new system offer
exceptional mechanical properties and detailed sonic
characteristics. They are specially manufactured for us under our
established and trusted
Dynamic Acoustics™
brand name. You
can, therefore, be assured that you are purchasing a very well
engineered and very high quality audio system for your Ferrari.
The
360 and 430 replacement audio system detail
is as follows:

The woofer design employs our
fantastic Dynamic Acoustics™ Dynam
Series™
DAW-6520
6 1/2" ribbed polycone rubber surround driver with a massive
2"
voice coil.
Despite the large voice coil, these drivers are very
efficient (89 dB) and produce excellent natural upper mid-range
tonal quality. They can easily handle
200 watts RMS of power.
Bass reproduction is exceptionally
deep, detailed, and natural without
overwhelming the listener. They are ideally suited to
the
Ferrari cabin interior.

These directly
replace the existing OEM
door units, and their depth is set to
replace those factory drivers without any cutting or modification to
the door panels.
They measure about 2.75" in total depth.
They provide a dramatic
improvement in sound quality and audio presence over the factory
Ferrari
drivers.
The crossover networks are attached to the drivers to facilitate
installation, and each driver has the necessary wire lead with a
snap-on connector
that slides into the OEM connector. Installation is
straightforward. No cutting, soldering, or re-wiring is
necessary
The original factory door grilles are reused in a most clever manner,
and, as a result, the repacement is
fully transparent and
appears to be OEM.
We provide full instructions and all the necessary parts.
This is a simple job which yields fantastic results.
TWEETERS:
Our DAT-1
tweeter is a
very refined 1.1" (28 mm) coated fabric dome design that is very
efficient and
which
exhibits very
smooth
and extended high frequency characteristics.

The poor quality factory tweeter
as furnished with the 360
and 430
factory
audio systems is mounted behind the trim
plastic piece on the
upper front portions of each of the doors.
We replace that entire plastic tweeter door housing with our new
design
which
seemlessly interfaces with the OEM mounts.
An
OEM connector is supplied attached to the tweeter which effortlessly
slips into the
OEM connector in the door! It could not be easier to do!
No cutting or soldering required.
The size of wiring
Ferrari has used to the door speakers is adequate for connection to
our replacement drivers. So this makes the exchange of the factory
drivers with ours very simplified. No rewiring is required!
Precise
sonic control of the door drivers is by way of our Dynamic
Acoustics™ very
precisely-calculated
12 dB/Octave crossover that is built into each driver.
The network coils are precisely would air core designs to
preclude saturation, and the capacitors are of very tight tolerance
film
construction.
This is a very refined sound system that offers
substantial detail which will enhance the vehicle's
enjoyment.
SUBWOOFER:
This is presently undergoing a complete study as to its need, and if
considered as necessary it will be completely redesigned from our
earlier concept.
AMPLIFICATION:
While the above system is efficient and will work well with the OEM
Becker radio's output power, the system's output can be
greatly enhanced by use a good quality two channel
amplifier.
INSTALLATION
RELATED ITEMS:
We will provide all required wiring, connectors, and instructions with
full installation details. We will give you the
color codes for the OEM speaker wires from the existing radio plug if
required Phone support will certainly be available to purchasers of our
systems.
FERRARI RADIO AMPLIFIER PLUG-100:
Pictured below is one of the connectors that we offer which
plugs into the Becker
Ferrari radio to get the amplifier
low level outputs from the OEM radio. Simply remove the existing blank
yellow plug
from the top rear of the radio and plug this directly into the unit.
This will then yield RCA low level amplifier outputs for two
amplifiers along
with an amplifier turn-on circuit! Our design will use only one pair of
these RCA connectors as there is no rear speaker set-up in the
Ferrari requiring a fader control.

FRAP-100 NOTE:
This plug is an exact replacement that snaps into the factory Ferrari
radio, and no changes to the radio are required for its precise fit.
We have the OEM radio wiring diagram as a.pdf file that we can send to
any of our buyers.
FERRARI
SPEAKER AMPLIFIER
PLUG-100:
To further facilitate PlugNPlay simplicity of installation we offer a
pre-made cable assembly consisting of a male plug connector with 4' of
color-coded cabling .
The Ferrari speaker wire connector on the rear of the OEM Becker radio
that connects to the vehicle chassis wiring harness is then
removed
from the rear of the radio and is plugged directly into our
FRSP-100!
This then allows one to use the existing factory speaker wiring to the
doors without any modifications, cutting, soldering, or crimping of the
wires from the radio!
The FRSP-100 has 4' of color coded wire leads that would connect to a
small
amplifier as an option to power our speaker system if desired.
We have greatly simplified the entire change over to a more advanced
audio system for the 360 and
430 Ferrari's by means of our clever designs.
Nothing could be easier to achieve a very advanced and refined audio
system.
