An Artist Proof is known as a print intended for the artist's personal use. It is common practice to reserve approximately ten percent of an edition as artist's proofs although this figure can be higher. Artist's proofs can be distinguished by the abbreviation AP or it can be spelled out on the work. It is a highly regarded classification in the art community.

Please pay particular attention to the fact that these are Danny Day's Artist Proofs and are very low numbered. These are each #1 of the series!

The medium for the three (3) Artist Proofs is Giclee' on canvas

If you are a serious automotive artwork collector these two pieces represent a rare and outstanding opportunity to share history with original signatures.

A visit to Danny Day's website will confirm the number of Artist Proofs for each of his works. If you go to the Category statement on the left side of the page you can highlight then click on the respective entitled art piece and the image to the right will remain in view. The artform of pencil drawings adds a dimension to artwork that sometimes cannot be captured in color work. It tends to yield a realistic dimension that causes one to pause and to consider the subjects in a somewhat more natural light.

Danny Day has captured a sense with these drawings that reveals the essence of the situation depicted, and they nearly bring to life the motion of the race vehicle.

They are a tremendous addition to one's art collection.
